Buraan was a minor fishing town in the Shiar Province on Xaron. Unlike most Xaronese cities, Buraan had no segregation laws, non Xaronese were free to live wherever they wish. Buraan was located in the southwest corner of Shiar Province, dozens of kilometers from Khet'Shiar. During the vacation season, Buraan was a favorite destination for the Xaronese elite. Several Great Houses maintained villas in Buraan, the grandest belonging to House Shiar. Rojixus Tal'Shiar often vacationed there when he was on leave.
